Success Stories

A twelve year nonworking homemaker with:

bulletNo computer or information technology background
bulletNo office or business experience (outside the home)
bulletNo public speaking or teaching experience
bulletNo business related accounting or financial administration experience
bulletNo formal education beyond High School

entered the Carver Center program.  Currently this individual is employed and making daily use of the computer and business skills learned at Carver.

Numerous Carver graduates have leveraged their classroom activities to:

bulletGain Self Confidence, and
bulletLearn Specific Technical Skills

that enabled them to attend college.

Some Carver students enter the program with college experience, some with college degrees.  However, their prior social science curriculums never included the common computer skills required by today's business community.  Unable to find employment, these students find success in supplementing their education with the computer and business related training provided by Carver.
